1/2 cup crushed mint cookies or Andes mints (optional)

Instructions

1. Place Chex cereal in a large mixing bowl and set aside.

2. Add chocolate chips and butter to a microwave-safe bowl.

3. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until completely melted and smooth.

4. Stir in peppermint extract and green food coloring if using.

5. Pour the melted mint chocolate mixture over the cereal and gently stir until evenly coated.

6. Transfer the coated cereal to a large resealable plastic bag.

7. Add powdered sugar to the bag, seal it, and shake until all cereal pieces are fully coated.
