A quick and flavorful dish featuring smoky kielbasa sausage coated in a sticky honey garlic glaze that’s sweet, savory, and perfect for busy weeknight dinners.

  • Total Time: 25 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale

1 lb smoked kielbasa sausage

1 tbsp olive oil

1/3 cup honey

46 cloves garlic, minced

2 tbsp soy sauce (low sodium preferred)

1 tsp apple cider vinegar or lemon juice

1/4 tsp black pepper

1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

Chopped fresh parsley or green onions for garnish

Optional: bell peppers, onions, or broccoli for added vegetables

Optional: cooked rice or noodles for serving

Instructions

1. Remove the kielbasa from its packaging and slice it into 1/2 to 1 inch thick rounds.

2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

3. Add the sliced kielbasa in a single layer and cook for 5–7 minutes, turning occasionally until browned and slightly crispy.

4. While the kielbasa cooks, whisk together honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, black pepper, and red pepper flakes in a bowl.

5. Reduce the skillet heat to medium-low once the kielbasa is browned.

6. Pour the honey garlic sauce over the kielbasa.

7. Stir well to coat all the pieces evenly with the sauce.

8. Allow the sauce to simmer for 2–3 minutes until it thickens into a glossy glaze.

9. Stir occasionally to prevent the garlic from burning.

10. Add optional vegetables to the skillet if desired and cook until tender.

11. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.

12. Remove the skillet from heat once everything is coated and heated through.

13. Garnish with chopped parsley or green onions.

14. Serve immediately over rice, noodles, or alongside roasted vegetables.

Notes

Turkey kielbasa can be used as a leaner alternative to pork kielbasa.

For a thicker sauce, mix 1 teaspoon cornstarch with 1 tablespoon water and stir it into the sauce while simmering.

Add pineapple chunks or bell peppers for a sweet and colorful variation.

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.

Reheat gently in a skillet with a splash of water to loosen the sauce.
