Ingredients
24 wonton wrappers or tortilla scoop chips
3 ripe avocados
1/4 cup finely diced red onion
1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
1 jalapeño, finely minced (optional)
Juice of 1 large lime
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
Salt and black pepper to taste
Cooking spray
Extra cilantro for garnish (optional)
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) if using wonton wrappers.
2. Press one wonton wrapper into each cup of a mini muffin tin to form small cups.
3. Lightly spray the wrappers with cooking spray and sprinkle with a pinch of salt.
4. Bake for 8–10 minutes until golden and crispy, then allow them to cool completely.
5. Scoop avocado flesh into a medium bowl.
6. Mash the avocados with a fork until the desired texture is reached.
7. Add diced red onion, cilantro, jalapeño, lime juice, and garlic powder.
8. Mix gently until everything is evenly combined.
9. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
10. Spoon the guacamole mixture into the cooled wonton cups or tortilla scoop chips.
11. Arrange on a serving platter.
12. Garnish with extra cilantro and serve immediately.
Notes
Choose avocados that yield slightly to gentle pressure for the best flavor and texture.
Add extra lime juice to help keep guacamole from browning.
Wonton cups can be baked up to two days ahead and stored in an airtight container.
For extra flavor, add diced tomatoes or a pinch of cumin to the guacamole.
If short on time, tortilla scoop chips make a quick alternative to baked wonton cups.
