Savory, cheesy pizza roses shaped like elegant flowers—an easy and romantic Valentine’s Day recipe that’s perfect for sharing.

  • Total Time: 40 minutes
  • Yield: 12 pizza roses 1x

Ingredients

Scale

1 can refrigerated pizza dough, puff pastry, or crescent roll dough

1/2 cup pizza sauce or marinara

1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

36 slices of thin pepperoni (3 per rose)

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning (optional)

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)

Fresh basil or parsley, chopped (optional garnish)

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and grease a 12-cup muffin tin.

2. Unroll dough onto a lightly floured surface and roll into a rectangle about 1/8 inch thick.

3. Cut the dough lengthwise into 12 strips, about 2 inches wide.

4. Spread a thin layer of pizza sauce on each strip.

5. Sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan evenly over each strip.

6. Arrange 3 slices of pepperoni along the top edge of each strip, overlapping slightly.

7. Fold the bottom edge of the dough over the bottom of the pepperoni slices.

8. Roll each strip from one end to the other to form a rose shape.

9. Pinch the dough end to secure and place each rose into the muffin tin.

10. Bake for 15–20 minutes or until golden brown and cheese is melted.

11. Let cool in the tin for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.

12. Garnish with chopped fresh basil or parsley before serving.

Notes

Avoid overfilling with sauce or cheese to prevent soggy bottoms.

Using a muffin tin helps roses maintain their shape while baking.

Slice toppings thinly to ensure even cooking.

For added flavor, sprinkle garlic powder or Italian seasoning over the sauce layer.

Pair with marinara or garlic dipping sauce for serving.
