Ingredients
1 store-bought angel food cake or pound cake, cut into 1-inch cubes
2 boxes instant white chocolate or vanilla pudding mix
Cold milk (as required by pudding mix package)
Pink, blue, yellow, and green gel food coloring
2 cups heavy whipping cream
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Marshmallow Peeps bunnies, for decoration
Edible Easter grass, for decoration
Pastel-colored candies (e.g., M&Ms, jelly beans), for decoration
Festive sprinkles, for decoration
Instructions
1. Prepare the pudding mixes according to package directions, then divide evenly into 3-4 bowls and stir a different food coloring into each.
2. In a separate large bowl, use an electric mixer to whip the heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla until stiff peaks form.
3. Place a single layer of cake cubes at the bottom of a large glass trifle bowl.
4. Spoon one color of pudding over the cake layer, spreading it evenly to the sides.
5. Add a generous layer of whipped cream on top of the pudding.
6. Repeat the layers of cake, a different colored pudding, and whipped cream until the bowl is full, ending with a final layer of whipped cream.
7. Decorate the top with edible Easter grass, marshmallow Peeps bunnies, pastel candies, and sprinkles.
8. Cover and chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours or overnight before serving.
Notes
The trifle can be assembled a day in advance, but add the bunny and candy decorations just before serving to prevent them from becoming soggy. Store leftovers covered in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
