Description
A simple and effective DIY organic oil of oregano remedy using fresh or dried oregano leaves. Naturally supports immune health and digestion.
Ingredients
1/2 cup fresh oregano leaves (or 1/4 cup dried oregano)
1 cup organic extra virgin olive oil (or carrier oil of choice)
1 clean glass jar with lid
1 small amber dropper bottle (for storage)
Cheesecloth or fine mesh strainer
Instructions
1. Lightly bruise fresh oregano leaves to release natural oils. If using dried oregano, gently crush the leaves with your fingers.
2. Place oregano in a clean glass jar and pour the olive oil over it, making sure the leaves are fully submerged.
3. Seal the jar tightly and place it in a sunny windowsill for 1 to 2 weeks, shaking it gently every day.
4. After steeping, strain the oil through cheesecloth or a fine mesh strainer into a clean bowl.
5. Pour the infused oregano oil into a small amber glass dropper bottle for storage.
6. Label the bottle with the date and store in a cool, dark place for up to 1 year.
Notes
Use this oil topically for skin support or dilute 1 drop in a teaspoon of carrier oil for internal use (only if food-grade and approved by your healthcare provider).
Always perform a patch test before applying to skin.
Do not use undiluted oregano oil directly on the skin or ingest without professional guidance.
