Description
A refreshing, gut-friendly natural drink made with lemon, ginger, mint, pink salt, and honey — designed to gently boost energy, support hydration, and aid digestion.
Ingredients
1 fresh lemon (or lime), sliced
½ teaspoon grated fresh ginger
A small handful of mint or basil leaves
⅛ teaspoon Himalayan pink salt
1 teaspoon raw honey (or maple syrup)
2 cups filtered water (or unsweetened coconut water)
Optional: pinch of cayenne pepper
Instructions
1. Wash the lemon thoroughly, scrub the ginger, and rinse the mint or basil.
2. Place the mint or basil leaves in a large glass or jar and gently muddle them with a spoon to release their oils.
3. Add the sliced lemon (or lime), squeezing slightly as you drop them in to release extra juice.
4. Sprinkle in the grated ginger and Himalayan pink salt.
5. Drizzle in the honey or maple syrup and stir to help it dissolve.
6. Pour in the filtered water or coconut water and stir gently to combine all the ingredients.
7. Let the mixture sit in the fridge for at least 20 minutes so the flavors can meld.
8. Enjoy chilled, and optionally add a few ice cubes or extra mint leaves when serving.
Notes
Use fresh, organic ingredients if possible for the best flavor and nutritional value.
You can swap mint for basil or lemon balm for a soothing twist.
If storing longer than 4 hours, strain out solids to prevent bitterness.
Try adding cucumber slices or a few crushed berries for added antioxidants.
