Ingredients
1 box (approx. 18 oz) of fudgy brownie mix
Ingredients called for on the brownie mix box (e.g., oil, water, eggs)
1 can (16 oz) green frosting, or vanilla frosting with green food coloring
1 cup shredded coconut (optional)
Green food coloring (if needed)
12 Marshmallow Peeps
1/2 cup small candy eggs (e.g., jelly beans, chocolate eggs)
Instructions
1. Preheat oven and prepare a 9×13 inch baking pan according to brownie mix directions.
2. Prepare the brownie batter as instructed on the box and pour it into the prepared pan.
3. Bake according to package directions and let the brownies cool completely in the pan.
4. While cooling, tint shredded coconut or white frosting with green food coloring, if using.
5. Once cooled, cut the brownies into 12 squares.
6. Spread green frosting on each brownie square and sprinkle with optional green coconut.
7. Gently press one Marshmallow Peep into the center of each brownie.
8. Arrange 2-3 small candy eggs next to each Peep to complete the nest.
Notes
For clean cuts, use a plastic knife or a hot knife wiped between slices. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days. Customize with chocolate frosting or add mint extract for a different flavor.
