Ingredients

810 fresh lemon balm leaves or 12 tsp dried lemon balm

1 small slice fresh ginger or 1/2 tsp ginger powder

23 slices fresh lemon or 12 tsp lemon juice

1 tsp raw honey (optional)

1 cup water

Optional: pinch of cinnamon or mint leaves


Instructions

1. Bring 1 cup of water to a gentle boil in a small pot or kettle.

2. Add fresh or dried lemon balm and ginger to the hot water.

3. Cover and let steep for 8–10 minutes to preserve the herb’s essential oils.

4. Strain the tea into a mug.

5. Add lemon slices or lemon juice and stir in honey once slightly cooled.

6. Customize the tea with cinnamon, mint, or additional lemon balm if desired.

7. Enjoy warm or refrigerate and serve over ice for a refreshing detox drink.

Notes
