Ingredients
2 ounces high-quality vodka
1 ounce freshly squeezed lemon juice
3/4 ounce lavender simple syrup
Ice cubes
Granulated sugar, for rim
Lemon wedge, for rimming glass
Lemon twist or fresh culinary lavender sprig, for garnish
Instructions
1. Chill a martini glass in the freezer for 15–20 minutes or fill it with ice water while preparing the cocktail.
2. Pour granulated sugar onto a small plate. Run a lemon wedge around the rim of the chilled glass, then dip the rim into the sugar to coat evenly.
3. In a cocktail shaker, combine vodka, fresh lemon juice, and lavender simple syrup.
4. Fill the shaker two-thirds full with ice.
5. Secure the lid and shake vigorously for 15–20 seconds until well chilled.
6. Strain the mixture into the prepared martini glass using a fine-mesh strainer for a smooth finish.
7. Garnish with a lemon twist or a small sprig of culinary lavender and serve immediately.

To make lavender simple syrup, simmer equal parts sugar and water, remove from heat, add culinary lavender, steep 30 minutes, strain, and chill.
