A refreshing and revitalizing wellness drink made with just three natural ingredients—perfect for morning hydration and digestive support.

  • Total Time: 10 minutes
  • Yield: 1 serving 1x

Ingredients

Scale

1216 oz filtered or spring water

1-inch piece fresh ginger root, sliced or grated

Juice of 1/2 fresh lemon

Optional: cucumber slices, mint leaves, or a pinch of cayenne pepper

Instructions

1. Wash the ginger root and lemon thoroughly. Slice or grate a 1-inch piece of ginger. Cut the lemon in half and prepare for juicing.

2. Warm the water gently until it’s comfortably warm but not boiling.

3. Place the sliced or grated ginger into a mug or heat-safe glass. Squeeze in the juice from half a lemon.

4. Pour the warm water over the ginger and lemon mixture. Stir gently to combine.

5. Let the mixture steep for 5–10 minutes. Optionally, strain out the ginger. Enjoy warm, ideally on an empty stomach.

Notes

Use organic ingredients for best flavor and purity. Drink first thing in the morning for maximum benefit. Try adding cucumber or mint for extra flavor. This drink can also be enjoyed chilled. Store extra in the fridge for up to 24 hours.
