Ingredients
2 oz vodka
1 oz fresh lemon juice
0.75 oz simple syrup
10–12 fresh blueberries
5–6 fresh mint leaves
Splash of club soda or sparkling water
Ice cubes
Lemon wheel for garnish
Extra blueberries and mint sprig for garnish
Instructions
1. Place blueberries and mint leaves in a cocktail shaker and gently muddle to release juices and aroma.
2. Add vodka, fresh lemon juice, and simple syrup to the shaker.
3. Fill the shaker two-thirds full with ice.
4. Shake vigorously for about 15 seconds until well chilled.
5. Strain into a rocks or highball glass filled with fresh ice.
6. Top with a splash of club soda or sparkling water.
7. Garnish with a lemon wheel, fresh blueberries, and a mint sprig, then serve immediately.
Notes
Always use freshly squeezed lemon juice for the brightest flavor.
Adjust simple syrup to control sweetness.
For a mocktail version, omit vodka and add extra sparkling water or lemon-lime soda.
Frozen blueberries can be used but should be thawed before muddling.
Try substituting basil for mint for a different herbal twist.
