Ingredients
2 ounces vodka
1 ounce triple sec or Cointreau
1 ounce fresh lemon juice
1 ounce blueberry simple syrup
Ice cubes
Superfine sugar for rim
Lemon wedge for rim
Lemon twist and fresh blueberries for garnish (optional)
Instructions
1. Chill a martini glass in the freezer for 15–20 minutes.
2. Run a lemon wedge around the rim and dip into superfine sugar to coat.
3. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice.
4. Add vodka, triple sec, fresh lemon juice, and blueberry simple syrup.
5. Shake vigorously for 15–20 seconds until well chilled.
6. Strain into the prepared sugar-rimmed martini glass.
7. Garnish with a lemon twist and a few fresh blueberries, then serve immediately.
Notes
To make blueberry simple syrup, simmer 1 cup water, 1 cup sugar, and 1 cup blueberries for 10 minutes, cool, then strain.
Adjust sweetness by reducing syrup or increasing lemon juice.
Use fresh lemon juice for the brightest flavor.
For a party batch, multiply ingredients and shake individual servings with ice before pouring.
Store homemade syrup in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
